Greeting to Diplomat Middle’s Wildcat Families,
Spring is here! As I write this letter, the last weeks of school remain, preparations for Festival are underway, 8th grade students are looking forward to the farewell dance, and we are preparing to finish one of the best years ever at Diplomat Middle. Exams and other important dates are listed to the left and on the schedule planner located on the back of this page. Students must be in attendance during the school day in order to attend after school events. Students who are to be recognized at an awards assembly will receive an invitation to attend.
We thank parents, staff and students for their hard work and support during FCAT Testing. We anxiously await the FCAT scores. We will begin collecting information from students and parents in late May to begin building next year’s schedules. Counselors will be meeting with classes for schedule planning during this time.
We will miss our 8th grade students as they journey on to high school. We wish them luck as they go on to a new experience. We hope their time as part of the “Wildcat Pride” here at DMS was enjoyable. We know they are prepared to tackle new challenges.

The Diplomat Middle School Instrumental Music Department will be hosting its first annual summer instrumental music camp for beginning instrumental students. The dates of the camp are June 4 through June 14 from 1:30 to 5:30. Cost of the camp is $50 per student. No prior knowledge is needed to participate in this camp. It is a great way to get a glimpse into the different instrumental world. Contact Linda Mann, our Band Director for further information. Enrollment forms can be picked up in our front office. Hope to see you June 4th.
