The School District of Lee County’s APPLES Mentor of the Year program celebrates the dedication and impact of mentors who invest their time and expertise in developing first-year educators.

Congratulations to this year's winners of the 2026 Lee County Student Film and Television Awards! The celebration of student achievement in film and video was a red-carpet event held at South Fort Myers High School on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, made possible by a grant from Suncoast Credit Union.

Superintendent Dr. Denise Carlin recently surprised J. Colin English Elementary School kindergarten teacher Julia Memoli with the 2026 New Teacher of the Year Award.
